Spiralmouth is a contemporary a cappella band founded in the mid-1990s in Los Angeles. They produced one eponymous album in 1999, featuring such cover songs such as "Closer" by Nine Inch Nails and "Spoonman" by Soundgarden, as well as original songs. This recording, and their live performances, featured vocal percussion and extensive use of digital and analog effects to extend the human voice and create more instrumental textures. The members of Spiralmouth are Michael Blanchard, Tony Field (aka Antonio Sol), Becky Kneubuhl, Vi Le, Chris Miller, and Gabe Rutman (aka Gabriel Mann).
