Born Antonio Vargas Cortés in Sevilla in 1976, El Potito is a male flamenco singer. El Potito was a child prodigy: he recorded his first record, produced by Pepe de Lucía, when he was fourteen. This precociousness is not surprising if you take into account the precedents in his family: he is the son of Changuito, a cantaor, bailaor and guitarist, and the nephew of the bailaora and cantaora Angelita Vargas. His manner of singing, his voice and his high-pitch treble inevitably led to him being considered Camaron´s heir in his beginnings.
