Which one is Rufus? Well, neither. Rufus Huff, a four piece band, named after two obscure bluesmen, Whistlin' Rufus and Luther Huff. An eclectic mix of rock, funk, blues, boogie and "Dixie" through a stack of Marshall amps. A distinctive sound...that which could be heard for miles around. Driving beat grinding forth from the shadowy shack in the Metcalfe County holler, deep in the clay muddy, Kentucky Bluegrass covered land. Music pealed out in deafening decibels, which made the coon dogs howl, with delight of course, but not so loud that the amazing soulfulness wasn't painfully obvious.
