Psalters play an underground experimental world music style borrowing influences from around the world; Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and even old United States slave spirituals from the US are influences. Earlier recordings saw them experimenting with sample based tracks and musique concrète. They have had a revolving door policy with players, having had some 100 musicians pass through the project since its inception.
