Malica's father, Jubee, owned one of Kingston Jamaica’s extremely popular reggae sound systems Love Vibration. Like many children of selecta’s (sound men/DJs), the exposure to music constantly opened Malica’s ear to the styling’s of talented reggae musicians such as; Barrington Levy, Beenie Man, Professor Nuts, Sanchez and many more. Accordingly, these extremely different genres are all evident in Malica's style of delivery; as a child of the next generation of music.
