PONTIACS was a Japanese garage rock band consisting of three members. The band's existence and its participating musicians were announced in early June, 2010. It is worthy of note that both 浅井健一 (Asai Kenichi) and 照井利幸 (Terui Toshiyuki) were central members of the well-known rock band BLANKEY JET CITY, before it disbanded in 2000, and that the two of them also worked together on recording Asai’s first solo album, Johnny Hell. Before joining PONTIACS, drummer 有松益男 (Arimatsu Masuo) has played with acts such as BACK DROP BOMB , FAKE? and MASS OF THE FERMENTING DREGS.
