Corinne Allal, Israeli rock singer, songwriter and composer, received the Composers' and Authors' Society (AKUM) award for 2003, for her life's work in Israeli music. Korin Allal was born in Tunis, Tunisia in 1955 and immigrated to Israel when she was eight years old. Korin's first album, in 1984, revealed a strong, sensitive musician who makes a powerful statement and does not pander to her audience.
