Johanna Demker was born and raised in Sweden, but she moved to Norway after high school to study music and has stayed there since. She was early a curious musician and genres like jazz, soul, pop/rock and the singer-songwriter/country tradition have all together built a solid musical base for her. This has also become the foundation of the songs she eventually started to write herself. Still Johanna is not that fond of genre definitions, but rather of considering each song for itself.
