The group started working professionally in 1990, and has been recognise from the beginning by audience and critics alike as one of the best young European mainstream jazz trio. The members János Egri -double bass, Kálmán Oláh - piano, Elemér Balázs - drums.
Trio Midnight was awarded the eMerRTon prize of the Hungarian Radio in the year 2000.
They also earned fame abroad, at the Umbria Jazz in Italy and in Marciac in France.
