Fredrik Åkesson
Fredrik Åkesson is a Swedish heavy metal guitarist. He is a current member of Opeth and active member of Krux, Monsters of Metal and Talisman. Fredrik has been playing guitar since the age of 12 and his early musical influences include Michael Schenker, Uli Jon Roth, Yngwie Malmsteen and George Lynch. Marcel Jacob, Talisman mainman did some auditions in 1992 to find a new guitar player, because Jason Bieler left them to play with Saigon Kick and he finally decided to hire Fredrik who was 19 years old at the time.
