Rykka, formerly Christina Maria, has exploded out of Vancouver with her debut album, Kodiak. Before becom­ing Rykka, Christina could have been found at cafés and clubs around the world playing her acoustic guitar and singing folk tunes. But, she’s now transformed into Rykka, a powerful musical force. With the help of producer Ryan Guldemond, front man of Mother Mother, and mixer Warne Livesey, who’s worked with Matthew Good Band, Kodiak could be one of the best break-out albums of the summer.
