DJ Gomi is originally from Tokyo, Japan. He was a student of famed record producer Quincy Jones at Berklee College of Music, Gomis dance version of Mariah Careys "Heartbreaker", of which she cut vocals to, appears on the 12-inch record of the hit song. He has produced and/or remixed for artists including Madonna, Janet Jackson, Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, Cher and Cindy Lauper. He has also engineered for house legends Hex Hector, George Morel, and most notably, Junior Vasquez.
