Karsu Dönmez (Amsterdam, April 19, 1990) is a Dutch singer, pianist and composer, daughter to parents immigrated from Turkey. She was named after the village of Karsu in the Turkish province of Hatay from which her parents originated. Although she does not like to be classified for her style, jazz is probably the best description for her music. She has been labeled the Dutch Norah Jones. Her music mostly consists of original compositions or rearrangements with lyrics in English or Turkish.
