Peter Schreier, b. 1935, is a German opera and concert singer (lyrical tenor). Since 1962 he has performed on stages in Dresden, London, Milano and New York, among others, with an emphasis on the Lieder tradition and Bach and Mozart. Since 1970 he also is a well sought after conductor of operas and oratorios.
