Ultrágeno was a Colombian band that started rehearsing in 1995 when Andrés Barragán (guitar) left the band "Yuri Gagarin" and teamed up with Juan Camilo Osorio (drums, and ex member of "Sol de Media Noche"). Later on Santiago Paredes (bass) was contacted. He was replaced by Ricardo Gómez for a while only to return in time for the recording of their debut in 1998 under the independent "Hormigaloca" records. This recording was financed under a Colombian Culture Award.
