Mimes of Wine was born as the solo project of singer and pianist Laura Loriga in 2006. The songs that are part of
her first album, Apocalypse Sets In (2009), were all composed and recorded during the following
three years, inspired by the cities where she lived during that period (Bologna, Italy, where she grew up, Paris,
San Francisco, and Los Angeles) and by the people she collaborated with.
