Christchurch, New Zealand 2005 - 2012 Second Gear Grind was a stoner doom/heavy rock band from the South Island of New Zealand. Despite being plagued with lineup changes throughout their 7 year history the band released two eps, appeared on multiple compilation discs, toured New Zealand alongside The House of Capricorn and Soulseller and shared the stage with Brant Bjork and the Bros, The Melvins, High on Fire, Looking Glass and Pod People among others on their respective tours to New Zealand.
