Dizzy Man’s Band was founded in the Dutch city of Zaandam in 1970. Initially they play a sort of jazz/rock with horns comparable to bands like Blood Sweat & Tears and Chicago. After a while they change direction and turn into an act that combines rock and comedy. This earns the band a fantastic live reputation and their concerts were one big party. They score many hits in their native the Netherlands during the 1970's, with the two biggest ones being "The Show" and "The Opera" which both reach the 2nd position in the Dutch Top 40.
