Anthony Manning released several electronic works on the Irdial and germstore labels during the mid 90's to some acclaim, a little derision, but mostly bemusement. His works are well-described as modern classical, and are occasionally described as being influential. This generally means that they did not sell, but are looked upon as works that find favour amongst the artist's peers. You would not think so by listening to the majority of output from the bleeping community either then or now, which means that the influence had limited reach.
