It was in the late 90s (1998?) that the MIND:STATE project was initiated by a talented young student from Uppsala, Sweden. Finding his deepest inspiration in the euphoric dark melodies and lyrical depth of metal bands like TIAMAT and DARKSEED, Per Holmström was actually raised on the electro/industrial music from bands like KMFDM and Front 242. It is by combining dark melodies, electronics and emotional vocals that Per Holmström polished and developed the trademark MIND:STATE sound.
