Rudolf Schenker (born August 31, 1948 in Hildesheim, Germany) is a German guitarist and founding member of Scorpions and the rhythm/lead guitarist of the band. Schenker is widely considered by fans to be an underrated guitarist. While he used to play a Fender Stratocaster, he is primarily known for playing Gibson Flying Vs. In the Acoustica DVD, he is seen playing a very interesting acoustic Flying V made by Dommenget, especially for him. In an interview, he once mentioned that his goal is not to become the best or fastest guitarist, but to be the greatest composer.
