Contemporary Russian metal scene experiences real female-fronted bands shortage. Moscow-based ANDEM (abbreviation of “Angel and Demon”) somehow saved this sad situation. Having started in late 2006 as a project of local level known by a score of people, it has developed into one of the brightest newcomers on the Russian melodic metal scene. Already with its first effort “Mayatnik Zhizni” (“Pendulum of Life” – 2008, Irond Ltd.) ANDEM conquered recognition of the both audience and press and got a very warm welcome.
