Javelynn was formed (as Javelynn Fate) in November 2008 during the "Out of Line Festival Tour" in Germany.
Yaz decided, a month prior to the tour, to leave her former band Ashbury Heights and start anew as Javelynn, but the band wasn't complete until Johan Andersson agreed to be the band's guitarist and second brain! Though the music is built upon (and around) synthesizers, Yaz wanted to try a mixture of cold vocals, echoing leads, vivid pads and shredded strings in order to incorporate the sounds of her early teenage "idols" with her own visions and experiences.
