At nineteen he was discovered by Fats Domino's manager, who took him to New York City, where he signed with MGM Records. Selling over a million records of a song he wrote called Rock Doll, he appeared on American Bandstand coast to coast with Dick Clark and has worked with Brenda Lee, and many other celebrities.
