PGR
There are at least three bands named PGR: 1. PGR started life as an industrial group in mid '80s under the Poison Gas Research moniker. Their studio was in a rough area in Oakland. To deter dubious people they affixed a sign with "Poison Gas Research" written on it at the front door.
After self publishing several cassettes under this name, the group name was shortened to PGR. Their first LP was Silence, which inspired the name of PGR mainstay Kim Cascone's label (and later distribution company) Silent.
