Obsidian Gate are a German symphonic black metal band, having released 2 albums and an EP. The band split up in 2003, but reunited in October 2007. Its (ex-)members are now playing death metal in "Vermis", with their website (http://vermis.org) stating that "Obsidian Gate" are a "Symphonic black metal band, with every cliché of the genre", making the split-up somewhat more apparent.
