Formed sometime in 2003 in Portland, OR, Paint and Copter perform dark, jamming songs with passages of improvisation, head-bobbing grooves, and spacious atmospheres. The group often infuse hypnotic, hazy visuals into their live performances. Bios
Andy Brown (keyboard, drums, vocals) was first known for his keyboard and production work with 90's space-rock band Jessamine (Kranky records), he has also been a key member of electric fusion band Fontanelle (Kranky), ambient duo Southerning (Histrionic, Drunken Fish) and experimental improvisers Project Perfect (Community Library, Red 76).
