ZIKKIM was formed in Izmir/Turkey in February 2004 by Özgür Şengül (vocals),Barış Kayhan (guitar) Mustafa Pogos (bass guitar) and Mahmut Talha Doğruyol (drums). They name their genre as KeshCore. ZIKKIM means poison in Turkish, also it evokes smoke and alcoholic drinks.
Band has started with covering Turkish arabesque songs. They even prepared a demo named "Coverma" but they didn't released it.
Cigara (means joint in Turkish) track had a quickly made tune and provided an unexpected success.
