The Band From Utopia
The Band From Utopia is a group of ten musicians who for many years performed and recorded with Frank Zappa. They still play Zappa's music. July 1994, the Jazz Open Festival was held in Stuttgart, Germany. The Band From Utopia headlined the festival. The concert was recorded on 32 track mobile digital and also filmed for broadcast on german television. The entire band was quite excited about the idea of bringing Zappa's music live once again to the stage. Many hours of intense rehearsals were held in both Los Angeles and Stuttgart.
