Jim Perkins fuses traditional compositional structures with experimental instrumental and electronic timbres. He creates graphic art using his performance scores as the basis for the artwork, and applies systematic techniques to produce a visual encoding of the musical information. As a composer his work has been performed at The Institute of Contemporary Arts (London), The Turner Contemporary, The National Portrait Gallery and on London's South Bank.
