Jessy Greene, a multi-instrumentalist singer/songwriter, started playing violin as a four-year old prodigy from Sheffield, Massachusetts who spent her formative years studying as a classical Suzuki violinist. Incorporating years of violin training and a degree in ethnomusicology, Greene's dark string arrangements and melancholy vocals generate a unique blend of organic sonic elements. Jessy's most recent solo record, A Demon and Her Lovers, chronicles her journey around the world as a woman whose life was saved by music.
