Taurus is an active thrash metal band from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil which has released 4 albums and 2 demo tapes since 1985 being one of the first metal band in South America. The first and the last releases are sung in Portuguese, while the middle releases were sung in English. The band have reached a cult following similar to Dorsal Atlântica , Anthares and other bands of the period who later influenced bands such as Sepultura for example.
