A desert isn't a beach... Though it can be with a little imagination. No one gets this more than Arizona natives, The Young Friends. Andrew McKee and Brant Stuns met on MySpace their freshman year in high school, and had been in several failed bands together. They decided to give it one more shot after being inspired by a road trip to the beaches of San Diego to make surf music, even though neither of them had listened to it much before.
