James "Jamie" Archer (also nicknamed "Jamie Afro" due to his hairstyle) (born 1975) is a musician from Putney, London, England. He took part in the 6th series of the X Factor, and reached the final 12, being the oldest of the 12 finalists in this series. He has had considerable experience on the London gig circuit - having gigged since 2000 - and plays a number of instruments, mainly the guitar. He sang Sex on Fire by the Kings of Leon in his first audition.
