Robert Anson Heinlein was one of the most accomplished SF writers, known popularly as the Dean of Science Fiction, as well as one of The Big Three SF writers. He wrote the first SF novel to become widely considered a Classic outside of its genre; Stranger in a Strange Land. Several of his other stories became movies, including Starship Troopers.
