Kristian Eivind Espedal (born August 7, 1975), better known by his stage name Gaahl, is a Norwegian vocalist, best known as the former vocalist of Norwegian black metal band Gorgoroth. He is also the founder and frontman of Trelldom and Gaahlskagg. As of 2008, he has been involved in other projects such as Wardruna. Gaahl was born in 1975 in [], a district in the county of [], []. He spent his youth living in a sparsely populated valley called [], in the municipality of []. Gaahl and his family still retain residences in the valley, although he now spends much of his time in [].
