There are at least three artists to have recorded under the name M&M: 1. M&M was originally a new wave group formed in Toronto in 1977 as Martha & The Muffins. Lead singer Martha Johnson and guitarist Mark Gane shortened the name to M&M and downsized the group to a twosome in 1984. They scored a huge dance hit in the U.S. with "Black Stations/White Stations" which stayed at #2 on the Billboard charts for three weeks that year.
