Bette Bright And The Illuminations
Ex Deaf School vocalist provider of girl-group retro styled pop around the turn of the 80s. Bette Bright recorded as both Bette Bright, and Bette Bright and The Illuminations. In 1982 she married Suggs from Madness and stopped releasing music. A small Deaf School re-union tour in 1988 gave birth to a live Deaf School album ‘2nd Coming: Liverpool ‘88’. Since then Bette and the rest of Deaf School come together occasionally in Liverpool just for fun such as at the opening party of the venue ‘The Picket’ in 2006.
